Frank J. Fabozzi is professor of finance at EDHEC Business School and a member of the EDHEC Risk Institute. Fabozzi has authored and edited a number of books on investment management, is editor of the "Journal of Portfolio Management", and serves on the board of directors of the BlackRock complex of closed end funds. Fabozzi is the 2007 recipient of the C. Stewart Sheppard Award given by the CFA Institute. Steven V. Mann is professor of finance at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. I bought this book after listening to the free online course by Robert Shiller. The topics are explained thoroughly and it gives you a clear picture of finance. Despite what other comments say, the text is not difficult for understanding. Though I am in high school and English is my second language, I found it quite easy to read and comprehend. The hardcover edition is fine, the only problem is the index, which does not include many terms and isn't really helpful. I would recommend this book to everyone.

Easy read textbook. Provides a wealth of knowledge. Unfortunately the only thing it is lacking is questions with answers to the problems. Questions are an excellent way to test if the concepts in the material was understood.
